The in-depth training program is what first drew me to Allens. My own learning is something I’ve always prioritised and quality education is really important to me. I’ve studied internationally, completing a materials engineering degree in the US and participating in a semester-long program in London while finishing my law degree.
I knew the graduate program was the perfect extension of my degree, but it was the people I met while applying that made me confident in my decision. Everyone was very approachable and receptive to questions, I knew I’d be supported at Allens.
While challenging at times, working in an environment where I am constantly learning has huge benefits. I’ve been exposed to different teams, people and projects. Having the opportunity to work with a range of different lawyers, including in other teams, and having exposure to a range of different working styles has helped my professional development immensely.
So far, my journey has been extremely rewarding and I’m looking forward to what the future holds. I’ve already had the chance to work on multinational transactions with a team at Linklaters. Several senior lawyers in my team have spent a few years working in a different country. The alliance provides greater opportunity for junior lawyers to work internationally and that is hugely exciting for me.
