I had a diverse range of experiences before starting as a Graduate at Allens.

I had a diverse range of experiences before starting as a Graduate at Allens. I studied Media (Public Relations and Advertising) and Law  at the University of New South Wales. I worked and volunteered in both fields while I studied. While I chose to pursue a career in law, my wide experiences have helped me think more holistically and laterally as a lawyer.

Throughout my studies, I had been interested in working at Allens. I was struck by the genuine nature of Allens employees whenever I spoke with them at events. I knew that a company with such nice people must be a good place to work. And, in my experience, our people are humble, collaborative and supportive. I’ve been given a lot of responsibility as a junior lawyer. But, I’m able to excel because I’m supported by a network of encouraging lawyers who are always willing to answer my questions and share their wealth of experience.

I’ve been encouraged to apply my interests and work towards what excites me. The focus on innovation at Allens is one opportunity to do this. We’re constantly integrating technology into the practice, enhancing our ability to do legal work and finding ways to bring people from diverse disciplines together. At Allens, your experience will be what you make it. Complex work is a given and you may feel like you’re swimming in the deep end. You’ll be supported by a great network and you’ll develop and grow more than you ever thought possible.
